Nassau County, an upscale suburban area on Long Island just east of NYC, had a population of 1,395,774 in the 2020 census. It’s densely populated, bordering Queens to the west and Suffolk County to the east. The county is a central part of the New York metropolitan area, with strong connectivity to NYC. Nassau County includes two cities, three towns, over 60 villages, and 60+ hamlets, along with notable academic and research institutions. It’s recognized for high affluence, with a median home price of around $700,000 as of 2023.
